Somewhat larger and better focussed versions of these images may just be on display in a store near you sometime soon..
I've found myself missing uni quite a lot recently, and these ladies may just be a big part of the reason why..

Steps to a knit stitch

I've put these images together for an upcoming feature.. I've become rather obsessed with crochet recently, I'd almost forgotten how relaxing knitting is.. I love the repetition of it and the fact that unlike with crochet I can actually watch a movie while I do it!

A quick trial run of hair stitched into a shoulder pad.. incidentally, half a broken heart was tattooed onto my arm last week and it's other half onto my sister's. I'm feeling a bit obsessed with it's ambiguous shape at the moment.
Rediscovering this disposable camera pic (taken by Luci) of myself with an icecream has just served to make me even more busting to get my own filmic efforts back! All those Tasmania pics just waiting to be viewed..

The Bread and Butter Letter

My very dear friend Sarah and her friend Rose are opening a store, unfortunately for me it's in Auckland but that doesn't make it any less awesome. The Bread and Butter Letter opens for business very shortly so be sure to get yourselves along if you're lucky enough to not be parted by the Tasman Sea, are into all things crafty and vintage, and like to be served by hot babes. These beautiful images were taken by Matthew Hope.

Just a few of my favourite people..

Here's a few photos from our trip to Tasmania. It is such a beautiful island, a week was definitely not long enough to properly explore it. More pics coming soon when I get my disposable camera developed - gone are the days of 1 hour processing! I have to wait two whole weeks..
This is a very belated post of the three photos I took at Meredith, which was AMAZING.

Free Julian Assange/Wikileaks Protest

The amazing Adam Bandt speaking

For my first protest this was certainly an amazing one to be involved in. There was a real sense of community in that we were in Assange's own city and electorate, even though there were plenty of policemen around, some even on horses it never got out of control, there was just an overwhelming general feeling of injustice and the need to make ourselves heard. The speakers were fantastic, each touching on a slightly different angle, Adam Bandt in particular spoke well, about the basic human rights of Assange's that have been violated which coming from someone in his position was pretty hard to ignore. A lady from the Journalists Union (I think) spoke about how if what Assange has done is a crime then every editor of every paper is guilty too and finally a young guy who spoke on the issues and laws surrounding internet censorship. The best line of the day however would have to go to the MC - 'Let's show Britain we're not f***ing convicts anymore' - classic.
