Opening my exhibition Collection last night was so much fun.. Here's an image of my favourite piece to celebrate - stitched with my hair and my sister's, it's titled with our initials that also happen to be a club we had when we were little.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along, especially to the lovely Clara for your amazing speech that went straight to the heart of what I do and taught me things about my work and my practice that I didn't even know! And of course thank you also to everyone who so willingly gave me their hair to stitch with.. the show could quite literally not have existed without you.. xx

How apt is it that that the day before the opening of my hairy exhibition my neighbours have this red wig just chillin' on their verandah?! Weird..

My first solo exhibition is coming up ever so soon! If you're in Melbourne please do come along to the opening night, Thursday 2nd June from 6 - 8 pm. It's at Hand Held Gallery in the city, which is suite 18 (upstairs) in Paramount Arcade, 108 Bourke St. Yay!

These beautiful images, taken by my cousin Josh Windsor, have induced the most serious bout of homesickness yet.. For my grandma's 80th my family went out to Te Arai to plant trees and I really wish I'd been there..

Tehehe.. I just got sent these images of the knitting I was doing a while ago, all lovely and packaged up. As far as I can make out they were sent out as promotional material for an upcoming puppet show at the Auckland Theatre Company (?) - Hardcore Goes Soft. Love it.

Papier Mache is SUCH an underused medium!

Taking photos of Robecca this evening made me remember how much I love photography, how using the flash isn't always a bad idea but that I should persevere with trying not to use it, and the sweet leopard print ridiculous heels I bought at an op shop in Tasmania that are just waiting to be worn.. Good times.

I'm loving having Monday's off.

Goodbye High Tea!

I had my first ever garage sale today, contributed to by some lovely lady friends of mine.. it was the best way to spend a sunny (for the most part) Sunday, just maybe next time sunblock would be a good idea!
