video

I'm on a bit of a roll at the moment, getting things done, so today I finally completed the task I've been putting off for the longest - I actually made this stop motion video. BLAST OFF was 10 months ago, which is scary on many levels - WHEN IS MY NEXT SHOW?? WHAT HAVE I DONE WITH MY TIME SINCE THEN?? WHY HAVEN'T I DONE ANY MAJOR KNITTING LATELY?? etc.. but I'm glad to have this done and put to the perfect song (I think.)

It was high time I documented this AMAZING quilt my Mum gave me for my birthday last year. It's made with fabric left over from clothes she made me when I was little, I really don't think I've ever gotten a better present ever. All those florals!!

My parents visited a couple of weeks ago, here they are looking a little nutty (it was pretty cold!) outside Griggin and Orr in North Melbourne.

Some party pics I just got developed from the opening of Egg Gallery's final show. The lovely lady above is now the proud owner of a knitted female reproductive system - Thanks Charlotte!

Thank you to the lovely Lucy Condon for wanting to feature some images of mine in a London (LONDON!!) based magazine!

Tying all the knots.

This is probably the best thing I've ever made.. it was so much fun freestyling the pattern for this piece while looking at a scientific drawing. It was made for Egg Gallery's final show, at House of Bricks. For a brief week I've had the joy of saying 'yeah.. I'm in an exhibition at the moment actually!', it's been great.

I'm loving this crochet blanket I finished the other day, especially on my crisp new white sheets. Ever since my exhibition I've felt like undertaking big projects like this, after knitting all those giant tampons I've realised anything's possible and nothing takes as long as you think it will.

How amazing is this wool?!
I just finished knitting my first ever jumper and my Mum has very kindly offered to get me wool for another one, on the condition that it comes from a friend of hers.
Anthea Fairbrass is one amazing woman. She spins and dyes all the wool she sells herself AND all the profits are for charity, so not only are you getting an amazing product you're helping Income generating projects in Burma. I am incredibly excited to get my 12ply (a special request of mine that Anthea was more than happy to do, normally she sticks to 3ply, 4ply and dk wools) 700gm skein of wool in the same colours as the top image in the mail.. and hopefully this time I'll make a jumper that actually fits me properly!
I'm so obsessed with my new couch! How pretty is it?!
