Putting up this adorable bunting was truly a happy moment. Thanks Jasmine!

Having had both the pleasure of watching two dear cousins get married (not to each other!) recently and just finishing 'Anne of Green Gables' (the poor girl was once admonished for wearing a wreath of flowers in her hair) it felt only appropriate to post this beautiful image of my parents on their wedding day! I think everyone should wear wreaths in their hair, at all times.

Christmas-y lights! Fun!

Suprisingly beautiful images of the two most impressive bruises in my ever expanding collection.

My donuts! In the paper! In Melbourne!

Craft Hatch, as expected, was a really good day yesterday, also highly lucrative which is always good when you're completely broke from continuously buying books and op shop dresses that you accidentally hem to within a centimetre from your bum. But I digress. Basically, Craft Hatch is awesome!

I wish I could claim this amazing piece as my own, well, I could, but it wouldn't be fair to my buddy Clara, the amazingly talented lady who created it.. Wow.

Getting there.. I am currently working on some fruit, vegetables and cakes that will be put on display/for sale at the cafe I work at - Big Harvest. Now all I need to knit is some bananas and the fruit part is done..

I'm beginning to think that you really can make anything out of cardboard that you put your mind to. My latest accomplishment - a dress. I felt very Project Runway as I decided to take my inspiration from my favourite flowers - Birds of Paradise - and then came up with the sketch of what I wanted.

After taking some cardboard boxes home from work (oh so convenient!) I got to work..

And here I am, out, wearing a cardboard box dress! Success! It was surprisingly comfortable, although going to the toilet and having to sit down in the taxi home proved quite dramatic, nothing a bit of masking tape in the handbag couldn't fix.

Fun Times at Chelsea Beach!

YUM! Cake in my letterbox!

The most amazing thing happened last night. We were at a Crayon Fields gig and in between two songs the drummer said, out of the blue, 'guinea pigs are the best animals in the world' - um, was that directed straight at me because my goodness, my thoughts exactly!

Getting this link sent to me from my sister

totally made my day, no maybe make that

my week!

It's a video that her friends Sophia and Emma

made and entered into a competition that

they're now in the finals for.. Check out more

of Sophia's stuff on Youtube, she is one

seriously talented lady! Lizzy's the cabbage

(you'll see what I mean) - I think it's the

proudest I've ever been of her

and incidentally she looks really good

as a cabbage!

p.s. as you can tell I'm not too good with

technology and the screen has ended up

a bit squashed, just watch it at full screen!

Melbourne.. how ever did you find out that I am completely obsessed with lampshades? And would scream with joy upon seeing them installed in public like this? We must be made for each other..

CRAFT HATCH!! (I love you!)

What a fantastic day! I am so incredibly happy with how my stall looked, all my cardboard bits and pieces (please note that even the business card holder is made from cardboard!), the venue, EVERYTHING!

Ah cake stand.. not even the fact that you were continously toppling over all day could make me love you any less! Please also note in the background the awesome (sorry to brag, I am just quite proud!) boxes I made to put the strings of coloured lights in.. yay!

A bit of blatant self promotion never hurt anyone so I thought I'd give it a whirl.. I printed out the fantastic article on me and my knitting that featured in the latest NO and even had people reading the whole thing..

I think this cake stand may just be my proudest moment! I spent 3 hours on Saturday constructing it as part of my 'I really need to put more effort into my presentation at markets' scheme.. I think it may also be the best use of IKEA cardboard ever..

Even my usual brooches got a bit of a revamp, finally decided on a suitable backing for them.. I think I have a slight obsession with cardboard! I also decided to drop my prices for Craft Hatch, and though it may seem ridiculous I am totally happy with my decision.

Spotted this on the way to market last Saturday, I think it's pretty rad..

Yay! A new idea for market stalls!

I am super duper excited for the 10th of October to roll around so that I can be at Craft Hatch (a great monthly market run by Craft Victoria) in the city library in Flinders Lane hawking my wares.. I am going to go all out blatant self promotion for once.. I've had some display ideas (finally!) that I can hopefully execute well and am making some new stuff.. come along if you're in Melbourne or check out what you'll be missing out on here if you're not!

Scrabble in the Sun

These looks are not to be confused with boredom - they demonstrate the intense concentration that any scrabble player should adopt if wanting to be taken seriously or look like they know what they're doing!

I love the piles of debris strewn through my grandpa's property and the fact that he won't ever use any of it but hoards it all the same.

One of the up sides of being stuck in Auckland for 12 days!

The Tea Lady

My friend Karen took me out to the cutest little cafe I've been to in a while (in Auckland anyway!) - yum!
