These are the only photos I have from a beautiful day spent in Brighton.

While it may not look it the top image is of my favourite meal, the entire trip.. helped out by the jug of melted butter that was to be poured over it all of course! Cocktails at Mauerpark in Berlin, Salads at the Ottolenghi take away in London eaten in Hyde Park and All The Cheese Everywhere come very closely behind.

We picniced in the botanical gardens the day after the opening of the exhibition I was in at Landesgalerie, while recovering from a night of watching my old lecturer play with his trip hop band from Munich in an abandoned cigarette factory. That night we scampered away from the pretension of artists from New York to photograph beautiful flowers on a bridge and drink beer on some steps by the river.

I seem to be forever destined to have really really bad luck with photos I take in Europe. When I was 14 my forefinger played a rather large starring role in the majority of my images and now, over 10 years later 5 of my 14 films come back almost entirely blank and a large portion have huge black stripes through them! WHYYYY?

I'm on a bit of a roll at the moment, getting things done, so today I finally completed the task I've been putting off for the longest - I actually made this stop motion video. BLAST OFF was 10 months ago, which is scary on many levels - WHEN IS MY NEXT SHOW?? WHAT HAVE I DONE WITH MY TIME SINCE THEN?? WHY HAVEN'T I DONE ANY MAJOR KNITTING LATELY?? etc.. but I'm glad to have this done and put to the perfect song (I think.)

It was high time I documented this AMAZING quilt my Mum gave me for my birthday last year. It's made with fabric left over from clothes she made me when I was little, I really don't think I've ever gotten a better present ever. All those florals!!
